Akunst Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Zinhyung (b. 1996)’s solo exhibition, Cliche on view at Akunst Gallery Seoul from the 17th of January - 23rd of february. This exhibition features a variety of new and marvelous works by the artist.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jinhyung (b. 1996) is a unique pop artist based in Seoul whose work vividly captures the inner worlds of the younger generation and the complex emotions of contemporary society. Centered around a striking color palette, his art encapsulates contrasting emotions such as anxiety and hope, solitude, and solace within a single canvas, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own feelings. Jinhyung utilize cosmic-inspired elements and unique characters to create visually striking impressions while fostering a space for intergenerational empathy. His work seamlessly blends digital and analog techniques, exploring the complexity of emotions and encapsulating individual narratives through diverse modes of expression. Notably the characters in his artwork serve as emotional symbols, brought to life through the artist’s distinctive color palette and style, forging profound connections with viewers.
